here's a comical interview with RDJ that a friend showed me from some
raverlicious magazine "xlr8r" (acceletor. witty, eh?). anyway. the
interview was in the form of a fax, so..
"UP YOURS, APHEX"
Hi there again,
It seems like we have a problem sending the answers for xlr8r to the fax #
you gave me so i'll e-mail you with them instead. i think that chantal has
already explained that they are not the best of answers.
Q: what have you been getting up to in the last three years?
A: getting older
Q: for what reason do you make music - money, fame, or personal satisfaction?
A: all of the above
Q: How do you feel about the reception of your first major label release in
america "selected ambient works 2" - what do you anticipate for Richard D.
James?
A: i think it's cool that it's getting a good response and i anticipate
money, fame and personal satisfaction.
Q: We here at XLR8R consider some of your music to be quite dark. what is
darkness about? teen angst, bad weather, or too many drugs?
A: i wouldn't necessarily call it dark and so none of the above.
Q: Have you forsaken darkness for lightness in your recent music?
A: no.
Q: Would you rather be happy or sad?
A: happy of course.
Q: What is your favorite animal?
A: a lion.
Q: You look kind of nasty on your new album cover. is that how you want
peple to perceive you?
A: no.
Q: Your album with Mike P.. Was it fun and did you like the end result?
A: Yes it was a laugh and the finished stuff was wicked.
