While we're on the topic of MP3...
I have a freind with a killer laptop who, when travelling to Germany
recently, was told that he couldn't bring a portable CD player onto the
plane (news to me, but whatever...).
Anyway, his laptop's hard drive is fat and empty enough to hold about 100
mp3 tracks, which he put on the machine at home the day before the trip.
No messy CD's to carry around. I caould easily imagine the next step for
him: burn CD's with 200 mp3 tracks on it and bring five or six on a trip
and basically have his whole CD collection in one little package. All you
need is a $5000 notebook computer.
Ah, such is the life of the digital elite!
