Highly suggested electronic brain funk for the
entire family..
Just a huge plug for this compilation that i'm
surprised hasn't been mentioned here (unless
i'm mistaken). Take Art-Tek's "Artefacts" and
combine those excellent tracks with stuff like
Töshöklabs' "Dated", and you have a good range
of excelling electronics, brooding techno, luscious
idm, and great electronic music all around. The
website will definitely give you a better idea of
what to expect, it's easy to navigate, but is missing
some info at the moment: www.cfom-music.com.
As the title suggests, these artist's are all in the
Boston (MA) area, and deserve recognition for releasing
top-quality electronics that will appeal to many folks
on this list. Here's the info on this compilation..
BOSTON NOT LONDON :: Volume One
"New Electronic Music From Boston Massachusetts"
Tracks include ::
:: plex :: cychsy
:: entropy struct :: clink feedback
:: ukuphambana :: jitteronimous botch
:: b field :: galapagos
:: cathode ray tube :: tweaking
:: ukuphambana :: articulatrix
:: technology scum :: toys
:: plex :: skwerkday
:: dummy plug conspiracy :: providence
:: cathode ray tube :: owa-owa
:: b field :: pocket
:: entropy struct :: line
:: asmodeus spectre :: still so beautiful
I'm pretty sure that Plex (on CFOM) is separate from
the Plex you may have heard on the Toshoklabs live-cdr
set at Invisible Cities (NY).
B>L (short for Boston Not London) is definitely a highlight
compilation for 2000. Now i should look into their other
releases, no? : )
Pietro.
