It's not. It's simply called paying upfront, which is pretty normal practice in the mailorder business. It happens all the time, but normally you don't notice it, because the time between charging the credit card and sending out the package is short (sometimes even nil). As for this whole MFR-affair: Stuart may be a little sloppy at times when it comes to responding to email, but I've dealt with him on a number of occasions, including orders of nearly 100 UKP and I trust him completely. I agree though that the current situation is unacceptable to many MFR-customers, but instead of this barrage of emails, don't you think it would be better to simply call him and ask him what's going on? If he's too busy for some reason or other (even considered a computer crash?), do you think that he has time to read all this, if he's still subbed at all ? And if the US customers don't want to pay hefty international phone charges, I'm sure there are MFR customers in the UK that could drop Stuart a line and ask him to explain things on IDM (and G-Tech).
