It's definitely in Braille. I deciphered it to "SKAMPLER SR 9708", using
the Braille description at
http://dots.physics.orst.edu/gs_index.html. The
only cell that doesn't make sense to me is the first of the middle word,
with dots 5 and 6.
I'm not sure what "SR 9708" means, but it's also stamped on the underside of
the CD (in the inner ring).
