Yeah! Someone else likes Plug Research as much as I do - maybe..? I've been collecting their 12"s for almost a year now. If you like the CD (their 1st I think ) you'll like any of the 12"s they put out. Their back catalog is totally gone (according to Allen @ Plug Research) but you can still find some of them in the stores, or through mail order like Drop Beat/ Modern Music. As far as the identites behind the acts go I only know Mr Hazeltine is John Tejada ( aka Lucid Dream, Palette ) and Flare is Ken Ishi ( Flare doesn't have track on CD but appears on at least one 12" ). The label is local to LA - the valley actually. In fact, this Friday, Sept. 19th at LACE on 7522 Hollywood Blvd/ 10pm-2am /$10, Public Space is having a show: John Tejada(live) Low Res(live)-PR act Allen and Joe ( Plug Research DJs ) It should be great!! Anyone in Southern CA should attend. Accoding to Allen, upcoming Plug Research releases to look for are: Mr Hazeltine 12" - 2 wks Vinyl version of PR Compilation w/ 4 new tracks - 3 wks. Chris np - Switch Records 1992-1997:the singles. This is killer too!! daniel wrote:
