Ungh, will you kids never learn! Repeated exposure to music at levels that cause your ears to ring WILL cause permanent hearing damage. Look forward to that hearing aid in your forties or even worse a lifetime of permanently ringing ears - a condition which is so horrible it's not uncommon for its sufferers to contemplate suicide (ask Pete Townsend). I never go to shows anymore without earplugs after a scare I had a couple years ago where after a show my ears rang for about 3 weeks straight. I went to the doctor who informed me that it was entirely possible that my ears might never stop ringing and that I may have caused permanent damage to my ears. Wearing earplugs in noway diminshes your enjoyment at shows and even better you can listen to whatever you want on the way home without it hurting the hell out of your aching ringing ears - you also get a sound nights sleep.
