Hi Ethan, I don't know if any of these recommendations will suit your tastes...but here we go. . Use Of Weapons - Stan's Plan [Droppin Science] This is Mark Pritchard from Global Communications. Very nice funky number. He is also doing a collaboration with Danny Breaks called Vertigo (Droppin Science]. I'm looking forward to hearing some of that stuff. . Total Science run the C.I.A. label. They go under tons of names. The Total Science stuff tends to be a little more techno or Sci-fi influenced. . Teebee & K. These guys usually put out great stuff. They just started their label Subtitles, and have releases on lots of labels. Teebee also goes under the name Black Science Labs on Certificate 18. K goes under Polar also on Certificate 18. . Ed Rush & Optical & Matrix The Virus camp always delivers really awesome tunes with outstanding production. One of the best labels for harder edge dancefloor stuff. . Stakka & Skynet They run both the Audio Blueprint and Underfire labels. These guys are very into sci-fi. Alot of their tracks have a hard futuristic sound. Great stuff. Check out Blazin [Underfire] comp or the new Audio Blueprint comp called Archive. . J Majik runs the Infrared label, and has alot of releases on Metalheadz. Great drum n bass with alot class. . Digital & Spirit These guys just started their label Phantom Audio. Their first release off that label is Phantom Force, one of my favorites of the last 6 months. Great tune! If you like Photek's work, you will probably like Digital. . Sci Clone - Great Jazzy drum n bass on Metalheadz. This guy has released 2 great singles on Metalheadz this year. I'm hoping that he will do an LP, because i love all his tunes. . Dillinja This guy has some NASTY bass that tears. You can always tell a Dillinja Tune, because he used lots of Amens and dark and hard ass bass. Also goes under the name Capone and Cybotron, and has just released something on Chronic as Trinity. Capone - Tudor Rose on Hardleaders is a must! I know these reviews aren't the best, but hey I'm at work and rushing so.... Hope this helps PS I also tend to play alot of drum n bass on my show Swope Transmissions. Tune in friday evenings 6-9pm (Pacific) http://kuci.org (use winamp). If you hear some electro or some wacky stuff that is veteran IDM listmember Eric Frans, and not me --- Ethan <eclauset@webslingerZ.com> wrote:
