After getting my record player working, I went out and bought a bunch of old 80's pop vinyl. I got an autographed Wang Chung record for $.99. That's totally irrelevant, I guess, but I like to tell people because it makes me feel like a real badass. Anyway, I found an old Thompson Twins album ("Side Kicks" or "Quick Step & Side Kick" depending on the version) for $.49 so I thought, "hey, I've heard of them.. I may as well give it a try." The album is absolutely fucking great. It ranks right up there with A-ha's "Hunting High And Low" as far as 80's pop records go. After poking around the web for a while, I found out that they (plus some other guy) reformed in the early 90's calling themselves Babble doing "tribal, trance-ambient" music. Does anyone know anything about this? Is it any good?
