Talked to Nothing's publicist today... Plug: Drum & Bass for Papa Will be released on everyone favorite "sell out" Trent Reznor's label Nothing Records. And it will be out on Sept. 9 I don't see what the big deal is. Is everyone bitter becuase NIN is on mtv? Is it because Nothing records is partially ran by Trent Reznor? Or is it because all the stupid jocks and frat boys from your school or area are screaming at the top of their lungs "I want to fuck you like an animal" while smashing cans of coors light on their foreheads? If so, all I have to say is, though I sympathise with you, people who don't like artists that "sell out", whatever that means, are stupid, lame, need to get a life, and are listening to music for the wrong reasons. . People should listen to music because they enjoy it or identify with it. Not because they're on this or that label, they've sold this many records, or how underground they are. In terms of the Jock/Frat scenario, can't we live with the thought that maybe we gained something from the music that idiots who listen to it do to its "trendiness" didn't? I thought IDM was the thinking persons music. Music for the open minded. Not for shallow fools who make judgements based on idiotic circumstances. t.S.o.G. np: music that I identify with, not because of it's trendiness or its coolness.
