I like Brandi Ifgray's vocals, but then, I'm a fan of the school of "dry, hollow, emotionless" vocals of Lou Reed/Iggy Pop/David Bowie. Mr. Ifgray has probably taken some influences from these people; he's better known here in Finland from his band Shadowplay which music has been kind of new wave/indie with jazz influences. I think "Le Mutant" can be described a kind of combination of Shadowplay's music with Jimi Tenor cheapie electronic backgrounds, which is very cool as far as I'm concerned. My own favourite track is 'Music At Night', which is a kind of jazzy, light, Lou Reed-esque affair. np: Max Romeo - Chase The Devil ("I'm going to send him to outer space / to find another race") before that: Pink Floyd - Piper At The Gates Of Dawn (the remastered mono edition of my all-time favourite album...) transmission from the pHinnWeb Bunker over, ekku aka pHinn the maintainer of pHinnWeb - the old skool, the nu skool and the pHuture skool of Finnish electronic music trerra@uta.fi | http://www.uta.fi/~trerra | http://www.sci.fi/~phinnweb
