why should a bunch of anonymous (to the casual listener at least) synths be
more interesting than a pc? whatever equipment you use, it doesn't matter,
people don't go to look at your rack. a desk and pc (and nice comfy office
chair) infact would probably make more of a spectacle than a raftload of
'real' gear, it would probably do people's heads in. if you're doing a
live show, the visual element in terms of artistic display is very much
more important than the pile of equipment, isn't it?
it seems rather shortsighted - external synths samplers fx and even mixers
will eventually disappear. all in the little beige box
