shockwave audio is MP3 and it streams.
it's kind of a pain to set up tho.
and of course the receiving user needs the shockwave plugins for their
web browser, which basically means you are limited to mac and pc
people. real audio may suck for lots of reasons but at least they
distribute unix builds of their software...
