joe (and the others in the peanut gallery),
You need to learn a bit about netiquette and mailing list conduct.
This has nothing to do with 'mp3.com artists'.
This has everything to do with people using a mailing list as their own
'personal' vehicle to fame and fortune.
It applies just as much to the people who CONTINUALLY post 'for sale'
and 'auction' announcements. Especially 'updates'. You can all go eat
shit and die somewhere else.
In case anyone doesn't understand what I mean by 'fame and fortune', I'm
talking about using a public service to suit your own ends, whatever
they may be. While there isn't anything inherently wrong with this idea
at a low level, when the frequency of these 'type' of posts increase,
you WILL experience people telling you "it's not cool". It's called BSP
and the word 'Blatant' isn't in there as a joke.
I'm really sick of trying get my point across about things that were
never a problem in the past but now are, IMHO. All I can chock it up to
is insensitivity/inexperience/immaturity on the part of the posters who
are the worst offenders here. If I though it was just straight up
brashness, I wouldn't be nearly as nice as I've been.
I guess it's just time to start dumping people into the killfile, which
is something I've avoided doing in all the years I've been on this list.
My problem: solved.
Your problem: not solved.
Have a nice day boys and girls,
brock.
