i don't see how tango 'n' v or bluff sound anything like old aphex.
they're both much more complex and consistant.
maybe his beats are not that original, but it's his melodies, texture, and
sonic depth that i like. and i do like his jazzfunk, too. his beats were
always cool but not groundbreaking.
to think that using fractured drum and bass beats is being a rip off is
wrong. why are both tom j and aphex being original about it while he's
not? it's just a current trend, and he's being influenced by what
influenced them, as well as by them. there's nothing new under the sun.
