The discussion about portability reminds me of the portable "scratch
station" the Vandals were using circa 1988. It was a toy record player
that the singer wore around his neck that actually worked. Hilarious stuff.
I also remember that before the advent of car CD players, there were
turntables designed for use inside of motorhomes and semi-trucks. Who
knows? You might be able to find them cheap at garage sales.
