Actually I remember saying it in reference to Squarepusher on the list
in ohhh...maybe April or May of 96? We were trying to come up with new
terms to call Squarepusher's music since Grant insisted that it wasn't
Jungle so I said that we should combine fusion and jungle to form
'fungle.' However, I think someone pointed out that there is a Coldcut
or DJ Food track called Fungle Junk that was possibly released before
that? But I never saw Morris using Fungle as a term in reference to
squarepusher/jimpster/plug etc. until after I used it in that context in
April/May 96. What says you Morris? What came first, the chicken or the
egg?
