Yeah. It was a good release. But if your ready to take the next step (in the Clear direction) you REALLY need to pick up their lastest full-length by Reflection-"Errornormous World" (formed by two words- Error and Enormous). Brought to you by two Japanese brothers Kenji and Ichiro Taniguchi. One of the best releases I've heard yet on this label. Going totaling in a new direction. Well, almost. It's still Jazz based music, but cut up , sequenced out to fire at random ,all combined with various time signatured beats. I'm still lisenting this album to get a better understanding of what's going on. It's all so varied and rather complex, but at the same time, no parts that overpower another...rather simple. I guess a Future Sound of Japan if you will. Then again... not quite that either. Nevertheless, definately Japanese styled structure. I quite dig this piece of wax. I would recommend this to anyone who's tired of straight forward electronica (Meaning more or less 4/4 time signatures, with loopish effects, and rather simplistic melodies) and looking for something greater. Fans of Sons of Silence or that whole Leaf label thing will identify with this immediately. Well worth cheking out. Ben Synaptic Records (Rick and Ben) 608 S.
