I had three phases with this record:
first-listen reaction was 'damn, these odd vocals interrupt.' i.e., in
Ren&Stimpsonese, 'no sir, I don't like it.'
second-listen reaction was 'well, it's kinda like sinead o'connor when
she's shifting between notes, just throughout the whole melody. hmm.'
third-listen reaction was 'to hell with sinead. gimme more. and fast.'
de gustibus non est disputandum (or something like that)
in any event, if someone out there in IDMland had to buy the 'gold'
and/or 'cotton wool' singles only to discover that Lamb's not their
cuppa starbucks, let me know. desperately seeking both in any format.
