Nah, I really couldn't give two shits about the stinker pimps. They had
one OK song and that was about it.
And speaking of Maverick, I heard your dad like the Prodigy!
I've been waiting for the right moment to sneak a copy of Hard Normal
Daddy in my folks CD changer...I know they'll be hooked.
Which reminds me of a stupid little story.
A few weeks ago, my boss had a party at his house...Earlier in the day
everyone was giving me shit, saying that he had hired a moble DJ for the
party for $450.
So I figured, this guy will have a few CD players, right?
I packed a few of my fav CD's in my bag that night and went to the party
figuring that I could lock the guy in the closet and play some good
music.
Got to the party and there was no DJ, but continuous Perl Jam, Billy Ray
Mullet, rush, etc in the disk changer.
My partner in crime, Mike, and I ripped that crap out of the changer and
dropped in Amon Tobin 'Bricolage', Squarepusher 'Hard Normal Daddy',
Plug 'D&B for Papa', We 'as is' and Panacea (Low Profile Darkness!). We
set the changer on random and ran outside to watch all the drunk old
farts freakout.
Well the changer was quite nice to them and played mainly Amon and Tom
J.
The people were digging it!
Then some stupid cow pulled them all out and put in the Grosse Point
Blank Soundtrack!
So I ran back in, slammed in the Torque 'Ed Rush mix' and turned the
fucker wide open.
That got 'em!
People were running around screaming...
someone fell in the pool...
some other poor idiot barfed over the balcony!
Fuck 'em!
True story!
peace out,
brock.
