Reply to: RE>>(idm) portishead i second this - i saw them at the supper club in new york on that samw tour and thought they were fantastic - they are playing in roseland with a full orchestra and it's being filmed (only bad thing is that the lights will be on for the cameras) - if i was in new york this thurday i'd be paying a scalp a lot of money - just my opinion though iain -------------------------------------- Date: 7/21/97 5:47 PM To: Iain Newton From: fresh@linkonline.net

Who told you that? That's a load of shit. I was there, mate! Their third show ever and their first show in America. It was fucking really good, their dj spun old school classics and funky beats, beth's vocals were right on, the drumming and guitars were really tight - it was one of the best live acts i've seen and i had a brilliant time. A very intimate performance i felt. They opened the show with the To Kill A Dead Man film over which they performed the soundtrack live. If you can catch them live, do it. cheers, _____ / ,-,_) /,_) (/ RESH Live & Direct from the G-Spot, Orange County, California, USA http://www1.linkonline.net/fresh/fresh.htm
