Chill, I know exactly what you're saying. I was really trying to make a
statement that there is cheap good gear out there.
One can organise 303's for next to nothing if you buy from (unsuspecting)
old farts who used to do bar room music. But it's not really about having
303's & 808's. Fuck that, it's hellava boring listening to the same old
shit. I enjoy my TX81Z and my Casio RZ1.
As I said I got a Korg Delta last week. Maybe I'll use a cheapo Casiotone
keyboard next...
Making technology music is about working with the electronics and digital
systems creating a personality, a Deus Ex Machina if you like. I don't mind
what equipment is used but I am interested in the equipment. Techno and
other forms represent a renegade approach to making music with electronic
systems. This is why in my opinion you can never shrink wrap the real
music. Call me an elitist wanker but that's just my opinion.
