Wagonchrist - Throbbing Pouch (10/10)
Damn, suprised you didn't mention this one Grant. This is the best fuck
disc in history just about. One smooth humping groove after another,
with nice bits of dark hardness in between - seemingly in all the right
places. This one gets extra points as well because it lasts forever, no
annoying disc changes.
Kruder & Dorfmeister - Dj Kicks (8/10)
Again, nice and long. A wide variety of grooves for those that like to
mix things up a bit. Goes from nice mellow beats to tripped up fungle.
Variety is the spice of life, i am fond of saying.
Gentle People - Soundtracks for Living (7/10)
Washy and warm, for when you're feeling especially romantic. Only
problem is some of the music may occasionally arouse giggles when you're
trying to take things quite seriously. This may cause a slightly bruised
ego and may impede performance. You have been warned.
Also recommended: FSOL - Cascade (you have to work fast with this one),
Orbital 2 (when the beat drops in halcyon it has amazing effects on the
opposite sex), anything on Pork, those old Stone Roses records.
Stay the fuck away from: Mike and Rich, Squarepusher (unless you're on
speed, in which case go for it!), anything by Autechre (grinding metal
while you're grinding flesh can be quite distracting.)
