they've (five of them) been compared to tricky and bark pyshosis (in the
same breath), and are the 'next big thing' from glasgow's oh so hip
underground scene... on chemikal underground records (same label that
spawned BIS), recently recruited a former member of the fannies, their
new 7, or 12incher, 4 satin out now... if you like to nod your head in a
dopey kind of fashion (don't we all?) then you'll even enjoy them live,
they are VERY good live, but beware of their over-indulgence, like the
last track on 4 satin (yeuch, cut the middle ten minutes out!)...
they play a tight set, building slowly, lulling, hypnotizing and
tugging... then, before you realise it you've arrived at a wall of
sound. pretentious in a way, but not too depressing either, which is
nice :)
they've also got a lp out, best by their mail order, which has their
first 7inchers on, Ithica and Summer, two exquisite beauties (well, they
ARE quite good) :)
