Yeah, I can't keep up at all. That's ok though, cuz I feel that the only reason to keep up with FAX releases is so you can save money. Once their like a year old the price goes up. However, if you buy a '93 FAX release or a '97 release chances are they will still soothe your apetite whereas some other electronica _MAY_ sound date. It's in the ears of the beholder. I always scan the CD wanted lists on peoples web pages or do trades with folks. I recently got me Dark Side of the Moog #1 and #2 for a few Bjork CD singles from another list member. I'd say it was a cool trade if you ask me!!!! Speaking about keeping up with FAX releases, I think DAve at Ear/rational has a system where you can be a FAX subscriber. I could be wrong about this, but basically if you're signed up you get a copy of every new release when it comes out (like a magazine). It's cool for the HARDCORE collectors. However, I don't think it'd fit everyones pocketbook. I mean can immagine getting Oskar Salas- Subharmonic (something) and then following that with the housey P.N. & Hebert Held release? One's like old old school BACH music err sumpin and the other is like Mtv dance music comps (ok ok, that's an insult to FAX, I take it back) Anyway, my point is you could subscribe if you want every release. He sells them cheap too. If you subscribe I think each release is only like $13. Not bad, but risky later 0 np: Oval Systemisch
