this is actually liquid liquid and is called "scraper". it is on 99-11

it is on ESG-II which wasn't actually even released on 99. not sure why
they even put this one on there. there are much better ESG tracks on their
album.

this is also liquid liquid and is on the 99-11 ep. aside from moody and
ufo from ESG this is probably the other famous track from 99. it was
probably made especially famous as the track that formed the basis of
"white lines" from grandmaster flash. i've been told that grandmasterflash
used to rap over this record at parties and it became such a hit that he
went and recorded his own version. this is probably the most sought after
relese on this label. it has been bootlegged once or twice already and the
bootlegs themselves fetch fairly high prices in england.

liquid liquid- optimo/cavern/scraper/out 1983
("out" has been covered by UI. they are huge fans. check out the insert
to one of their early ep-"buy liquid liquid records")"optimo" has been
sampled to death from carl craig to armand van helden (i think) this ep
always sounded to me like a prototype to perennial divide (pre- meat beat
manifesto).
99-13 liquid liquid-dig we must ep 1985
(dig we must/flextone/d.d.dig we must (remix)
dig we must seems to borrow the cowbell intro to "optimo" from 99-11. this
is by far the weakest of the l.l. singles IMO.

singers and players- war of words
(devious woman/quante jubila/sit and wonder/fit to survive/reaching the bad
man/world of dispensation/91 vibration)
this was later released on on-u sound as well.
there is also a 7" form konk that has a 99 stamp on it, but i don't think
it was actually on the label. it isn't in front of me right now.
so, what is 99-12? i think it is an esg 12" but i've never seen it.

believe me. everyone should study the roots of what they're listening to
now, and this sure is one of them.
here is some more info related to 99 records:
"moody" has been covered and redone many times including bomb the bass.
"ufo" has been covered by unrest on their subpop single and has also been
sampled by dimitri from paris on his "le sacre bleu" album.
esg are still around and released a cd of live tracks a couple years ago.
the bass player in liquid liquid (richard mcguire, who also designed their
sleeves) is a cartoonist now.
if it weren't getting late i could probably spew out more info related to
the label.
*** if anyone has a copy of the congo-at the feast 12", i am desperately
seeking this record to complete my collection of this label. i would trade
just about any record on my for sale list (see URL in my sig.) for this.
