I have a friend in the sound engineer business, who warns to stay away
from Sony DAT equipment at all costs. Apparently, they use a propietary
head angle setting which allows you to record on their stuff, but you
can't playback on any other brand DAT player -- other companies using an
industry standard head setting.
Anyone who is in the biz directly, on this list, who would care to comment
further?
