Sounds positively evil to me - I've got this rip-off of the MECO Star
Wars theme done by the Marty Gold Orchestra for Peter Pan Records (a
label whose releases I've only seen in toy stores) and it's a schlock
masterpiece. Equally hideous was the bonus disco 12" that came with the
STAR TREK III Search for Spock soundtrack. A true jem in my
collection. And what about that U2 version of the Mission Impossible
theme - they couldn't even do the tune in 5/4 time. Pathetic.
I still think George Lucas ought to let Autechre score the new flix. A
song like "Nuane" would sound great during the space fight scenes, and
some non-beat-oriented material would work great for other parts.
