Hi Richard,
quoted 2 lines Blondie remix project CD. 10 out of the 11 tracks were the usual> Blondie remix project CD. 10 out of the 11 tracks were the usual > hideous club-shite (some even more hideous than usual),
grin, yeah...sorry about that. hardly *my* fault.. :)
quoted 2 lines Black dog remix> Black dog remix > Ken, can you elaborate?
I think it was fixed up by 'Vinnie Vero' at Chrysalis records. He had heard of us, and was putting a remix album together, so gave us a call. Ed and Andy hadn't heard of "Blondie", so it was suggested that I do it on my own, while they did the "Neds atomic Dustbin" remix they'd secured. It took me 4 days of sampling, and hair pulling before it was finished, but the results (i feel) were worth it. The cherry on the cake for me, was when debbie harry said "The Black DOg mix is the most strange and beautiful take of a blondie song that ive ever heard." words which are still tattooed into my psyche and keep me going. I wanted to do 4 in all, because she has such a beautiful voice, but "Fade Away" was all they would let me 'get away with'. If you listen to the lyrics, it could as easily be about an internet junkie, as a TV addict. Thanks for asking, Ken ps, mondo1@sirius.com bounced....but "Yes Please.
