there are, ahem, 'girls' on this list, i don't know why 'girls' don't post more on the whole, i know i don't post more because 1) i'm into like a bazillion types of music, not just idm 2) i'd rather tweak knobs on pedals or my polysix than read a bunch of crap on what afx said in his latest interview (y.a.d. - yet another debunking - i like everything i've heard by rdj) and spend my money on more knob-laden devices than trainspot individual artists and write web pages for them. little stories of my own: i've been exposing a fairly 'mainstream' guy to autechre and he LOVES it. i periodically have 'musical education time' with one of my male roommates, lending him various idm/ambient cds. idm exposure goes BOTH ways. surprise! :) .joanna. obidm : onnow: hash jar tempo...oh wait, wrong list ;) and you know, i'd rather not see bickering about this too...for endless discussions about women and techno, check the ambient archives... --- joroses@mail.utexas.edu five lines of text: http://ccwf.cc.utexas.edu/~joanna - 'there is something inside of me...crying out for something else' - verve
