Yep, more trance than ambient. "Think" and "Morphic Resonance" from
"Ancient Future" are beautiful trance tracks which were seminal in the
Australian trance scene.
Both Third Eye and Zen paradox were actually originally released on
the Australian Psy Harmonics label, which is run by one of the Third
eye collaborators, Ollie Olsen. They specialise in goa trance /
head-phuk acid music and videos.

I recommend their ANTEDILUVIAN ROCKING HORSE : MUSIC FOR THE ODD
OCCASION album. It uses old radio clips and sounds to create some of
the wierdest tekno / soundscapes I've heard in a while, while still
maintaining a good sense of humour.
