I am VERY happy to hear this. The RZA is one of the greatest electronic music producers working today, period. Bjork is one of the greatest artistic/creative forces around today too. Usually when two artists of this magnitude get together, everyone is disappointed. But with these two very experienced collaborators, I don't think I will be disappointed at all. There's a Tricky single from Maxinquaye (I think it's Hell is Round the Corner) which was done in collaboration with the Gravediggaz. The track "Tonight is a Special Night" is a next-generation hip hop masterpeice. It seems to be a studio jam between Tricky and the Gravediggaz, but to me it is mostly just the RZA goin' off (and allowing Tricky and Gatekeeper and Undertaker to occasionally take a break from their ganja and mumble a word or two.) The RZA himself busts a few lyrics, mostly consisting of a sinister, "Put your hands up in the air/Tonight is a special night.", delivered with trademark wu-tang syncopation taken to a level I've never heard before. It's really creepy, but funny as hell too. Not every single thing RZA has done is great, but you must realize that he has probably (almost single handedly) produced ALL the music on about 150 songs in the past two years. When's this album due? Anyone know? -Chris Fahey
