Would someone mind posting a little bit more about Kim Rapatti? I own "The Mood E.P." on the Plug Research label, which I like a lot. For those who haven't heard it, the best way I can think to describe it is "after hours Detroit" -- by that I mean minimal hypnotic Detroit style tracks that are perfect for chilling out and relaxing to. Basic Channel also comes to mind when listening to that one. The only other release I know of is "The Future" on the label Dum. As I understand, Kim Rapatti owns this label. Is this correct? I haven't picked up this release yet, though. Is it similar to the Mood E.P.? Also while on the topic of this style of music, I recently picked up an EP on Chain Reaction with no artist or track info. on it. The sound is quite similar to the other stuff I listed above. I don't have the vinyl in front of me or I'd list the cat #, but does anyone know who is on this EP? I think there are 7 tracks total on it. I've heard there is a Chain Reaction CD out, which I've been meaning to check out as well. Are most of the titles on Chain Reaction in the minimal Detroit vein? Finally, can anyone recommend some similar things to track down? I heard some of Richie Hawtin's Concept series, but those went a little too far down the minimal road for me. Maybe he was progressing to something different later in the series, but I lost all interest by that point.
