been subscribed to idm for almost a year without posting,
but now i must break the silence, (or wind),
for those who may be interested.
for those of you in/near the Los Angeles area:
it's our opinion that the party/rave/club scene in LA is so fucking lame,
some djs and friends decided to throw a party where we could play the
fucked up ugly bizarre shit we love so much.
yeah,,, idm isn't necessarily 'dance' music discussion.
'intelligent dance music', though intelligence really has little to do with it.
but,
some of you may agree that there are many tracks that have what you could
call an 'idm' approach to the dance floor. they feature similar
characteristics of experimentation and creativity as much of the non-dance
'idm' stuff.
the djs at this event are all into styles of techno (as a general term)
that aren't necessarily labelled or popular here in LA, and are eager for
the opportunity to play for a room 'prepped' for the darker, stranger side
of things...
it's a free party, so please feel free to come out and disgust yourself.
