I wouldn't suggest the glass in am oven thing.... Sounds scary! What I do is put a heavy item on top of the record and place it on top of my amp... its only 100 watts (if it were any more I'd get evicted - CERWIN VEGAS kill neighbors:) The slight heat produced by the amp is too low to damage the tracks but enough to flatten the rekkid - oh! almost forgot - keep it in the sleeve! Hope this helps. - Thank god no one has asked how to remove scratches - you all would think me MAD!
