sure, you could listen to a .wav and spend half an hour downloading a 2mb
file, or you can click on a .ra file and listen to it in less than a
minute. sure you sacrifice some quality, but in today's day and age,
people don't have the patience that you claim to have. also, most
people use a 28.8 modem as opposed to an isdn or a cable modem, etc. you
can spend your time downloading a .wav file for half an hour while i'll be
happily listening to real audio and on my way to other sites while you're
still in limbo. ;>
