none of the above have ever made any pop music. so they are not
popular acts.
the prodigy and the chemical brothers and even to some degree orbital
make pop music. so they are popular acts.
the recent uptake of 'electronic' music in the usa is purely because
popular guitar bands in the kind of Guns'n'Roses and Black Crowes vein
are not selling records any more. period.
so they are looking for something else to sell. popular electronic
'dance' music.
