A Suggestion: Blue Note has reissued their latest set of Rare Groove LP's from the late '60s/early '70s, including albums by Donald Byrd, Lou Donaldson, Stanley Turrentine, etc. The best of the lot, Jimmy McGriff's "Electric Funk," might be of interest to those who like Michael P.'s more cheesy/sleazy-listening funk-outs on "Shaped..." Love that Cover!! (McGriff, that is.) A Question: Does anyone have release dates on the new Daft Punk and Nu Yorican Soul LP's? Have any U.S. listpeople seen these in the stores yet? Any info would be cool... On Now: Nothing... --------------Freak Out. --------------John Bush.
