You might try 'Breakbeat Science', a double CD just released by the same good people who do all the 'Trance Europe Express' compilations. It's a mixed bag, it has good examples of a lot of different styles, and might get you some idea if what type of jungle you like. And it comes with a nice booklet that gives you some background on all the artists. If you liked 'Earth', you might try Bukem's previous label compilation 'Logical Progression'. It lacks the hip hop-type tracks that are on Earth (the first Poets Of Thought track), but the jungle tracks are in a similar style. You could also try the 'Avantgardism - drum 'n bass' compilation, released by Blue Angel / Rising High / Law & Auder. More experimental than the two above, definitely a few shades weirder, but also pretty varied.

shit... We most definitely are! (I am, at least) Photek's great (as are his buddies, Source Direct), though usually a lot darker than anything Bukem ever did. But you might try his 'Hidden camera' EP, out on Virgin (and the only CD he has released so far), which is quite laidback and jazzy. Great stuff. Moving Shadow release a lot of different styles of jungle. Everything from blissed-out synth tracks to raw, dark stuff. Their 'Storm From The East' compilation is a good place to start.

Mmmm.... I wonder what the last Metalheadz release was you heard? I wouldn't exactly label Peshay's 'Predator', Adam F's 'Metropolis', Ed Rush's 'Skylab' or Rufige Kru's 'T3' as muzak.

Sure, but be prepared for some pretty weird stuff. Not very much like what's on 'Earth'. Maarten on now: Decoder - In my dreams
