My unfavorable critique? I take it back... I'm listening to it now while working at my computer, and it's pretty cool. It's like old sci-fi movie theme music, or maybe kind of like "Last Year At Marienbad" or some other conceptual 60's french art-film, atonal, meandering, whimpering sometimes. But all teched-out. Good background music. (I personally have no problem whatsoever classifying music as "good background music" and still thinking it's really good music. It doesn't have to get my pulse pumpin and my brain thinkin to be good. Even some really hard techno for me makes good music to listen to while reading, just for texture. I also think it's okay to buy paintings because they match your sofa.) Anyway, sometimes a second listen ain't such a bad idea. It's not what I expected, but it's cool.
