Mindy [and everyone else who is reading this] [I've sent it to the
"intelligent dance music" list, btw],
Just tonight I was sitting in my room and wondering if it really would be
possible to boycott something as sick and commercial as MTV. Just think
of all those hours of mindless programming: "The 'real' World", "Singled
Out", "Buzzkill"... and that other show where people call up and ask
questions about sex and stuff (on the air!) I forget the name of it but
I am sure you get what I mean by now.
MTV has gone too far with its mindless shite programming and from what I
gather on the various mailing lists that I subscribe to -- I am not the
only one who feels this way.
Emptyvee used to be a pioneer. I remember back in the day watching
Thriller and seeing those little clips of the rocket blasting off with
the MTV logo. Anyone remember these days? When MTV was about MUSIC and
not hype and this mindless shit programming?
I dunno... I guess what I am looking for is a consensus. Maybe start
some kind of boycott .... anyone else share my views?
