normally, i wouldn't even get involved, but i have to agree here. IDMers height??? that's about as spam as shit can get on this page. i know there are plenty of sites where 12 yr old girls go to discuss their favorite N' SYNC member and what his height is. maybe that's where this should be continued. on the other hand, i really don't give a fuck what anyone says on this list though. i delete about 90 % of the messages anyway. -----Original Message----- From: Tsog5000@aol.com <Tsog5000@aol.com> To: idm-digest-help@hyperreal.org <idm-digest-help@hyperreal.org>; idm@hyperreal.org <idm@hyperreal.org> Date: Tuesday, February 15, 2000 7:35 AM Subject: (idm) IDM Height... huh? Um... Is it me, or is IDM dead? I've got an idea… Why don't we work on turning the entire IDM list thing into an actual fraturnity. That way we can all know how tall we are, know how much beer we can drink before we puke, know how long we can do a keg stand for, and haze people by forcing them to listen to the latest George Acosta CD on Ultra Records? We can erect houses in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, New York etc. New commers will have to wear stupid brass pins, spending there time cleaning the house, enduring a quarter (or semester depending on the university) of public hamiliation, only end up having to pass a test (which would have questions like "name four of Richard James' alias'") before they can actually get there letters Or maybe... we can work on turning the IDM list into a forum in which we discuss new music? I vote for the latter. Cause frankly, I'm fed up with this waste of space. So, here's my contribution: V/A "Lily of the Valley" Schematic Records Just got my hands on this bad boy and what can I say… Thumbs up on another fabulous release from our friends from miami. Includes slick as fuck Designers Republic graphics plus new and exclusive tracks from Richard Devine, Phoenicia, Delarosa & Asora, Takeshi Muto, Jake Mandell, Jeswa, 09, and Gliese. A few of these names are new to me, but fans of the genre (Dilapidated Robo Booty Beats [think of a funkier autechre]) are sure to be pleased. The cover also mentions the release of an actual Phonecia album entitled "Brownout".
