Interesting. My path would be: Beatles -> new wave stuff (Depeche Mode, OMD) -> newOrder / Smiths / 4AD (and whatever happened to Colourbox?) -> shoegazers (Chapterhouse, Ride, Slowdive) -> Curve, NIN -> first hearing Papua New Guinea off the Cool World soundtrack -> purchase of ex:el, SAW1, Little Fluffy Clouds, Electro-Soma, etc. etc. Thanks to the folks for all the comments on electro. Quite educational. Has anyone heard Endemic Void's "Equations" album? Any reviews?
