Parallel is great - a collection of some of the early releases that BDP put out on GPR. The first four tracks, or even the first two, would have been enough for me to pick this up. I think it's closer to Bytes in terms of the variety of the tracks, the intricacy of the layering of beats, and the melodic appeal. The last of which I thought Spanners lacked a lot, but that's me. I think at the time of its release, Ken or maybe the other guys too weren't too happy about GPR making a cheap buck with their back catalog, but who are we the poor fans to complain? :) I'd also highly recommend their second (according to one count) album, Temple of Trasparent Balls. Some IDMers didn't like this too much, but I find the tracks charming and experimental at once, in a quirky, low-key way. On now:: Pizzicato Five: K.I.S.S.
