"Auntie Aubrey..." double-CD > which I nearly bought this weekend. Actually, it's pretty funny because I've been very disillusioned by the stuff Orb has put out lately but I decided to give this album a chance as I heard some of it was pretty dated. I'd say I'm about half happy about it. The first CD is amazing, all the tracks are excellent and are mixed together (although they also do fine separately). As for the other Cd, let's just say I've never been a big fan of Depeche Mode or Erasure... Another plus for the album is the 30 something page booklet included. I think they could have cut it down to about 20 pages and saved a couple hundred trees but it does include a full Orb discography ranging from the Kiss EP in '89 to Dr. Paterson's mixing job on Textures. On the other side of things I don't like the CD case design. You slide the discs into a vinyl-like holder and I'm worried about how long it will be before they scratch. Anybody else have this worry? Overall, I'm glad I bought the album. It has renewed my faith in the Orb and I can't wait 'til their next 'real' album. This should keep me occupied until then... Ciao for now, Chris.
