I think the length of tracks/album might be inspired in no small part by
Jean Jacques Perry's Moog Indigo, which has tracks all hovering around
the 2 to 21/2 minute length, each one of them a fucking masterpiece. I
have a tape of Aphex Djing track after track from Moog Indigo & he
samples it on Hangable Auto Bulb.

I think both viewpoints are valid really. However there is no denying we
are living in the post-CD age and there is no going back. Your argument
really is dependent on how people feel about the tracks, whether they
think each one is a gem or some of them are just buffing out time. You
can't argue with 74 mins however. It's just there.
