I have a theory that he's being himself, an act I would recommend to
anyone who can get away with it. We might all be somewhat more abrasive
if we didn't have to worry what anyone else thought. He's in a lucky
position, there. Being oneself can be the result and further cause of
more personal freedom and fearlessness.
Crash your programming! Reject your obedience training! Be yourself,
abrasive or not. While you're at it, why not make some nearmal records?
[Of course if I met RDJ and he called me a wanker to my face for no
apparent reason, I'd probably have to re-evaluate my useless opinion. :-)
