Not unexpectedly, "Boy/Girl" was chosen as 12" of the week on Sweden's
national dance music radio programme. The host also said that a limited,
numbered edition of 100 locks of Richard's hair have been given out by
Warp. It didn't sound like a joke.
This is what annoys me with Aphex Twin the most: He says that he is only
doing the music for himself (and so on) but still he is like any other pop
star in his image. Of course he is aware that the above example is a very
pop star-ish thing but that's no excuse, really. Why do all people become
like this when they get famous? (Or is it the other way around -- the
become famous because they do these things?)
