I attend two schools which are right next to each other, one for visual
arts + the other for music. Guess which one scanner just gave a
lecture/performance to? Yup, the visual one.
either the people here consider scanning/sampling/collaging more of a
visual concept translated into audio form than 'music', or the people over
at the music school have got their heads so far in their orchestra parts
they didn't know the guy was coming.
I'm curious to know if there are any 'classically trained' idmers out
there, 'cos almost everyone seems to come from a non-music background. I'm
hoping it's not because musical 'training' closes peoples' ears/minds...
