I guess it's called "progression" some of Empire's old stuff was quite bad, or at least when you compare it to stuff today, but ain't that the thing with this kind of music anyway? All I can say that the Atari Teenage Riot gig was quite an experience, sure it was really chaotic and they were shouting lyrics over it which you couldn't understand, still Alec Empire's "The Destroyer" is one of my fave records from this year ... Call me strange ... Guess I'm the only one who doesn't understand why everybody is talking about Squarepusher and almost nobody seems to like Empire's stuff.
